Terms of Use

Last updated 24 September 2026. These terms are between you and the operator of AlarmSong, an individual developer. Reach us any time at hello@alarmsong.com.

By using AlarmSong you agree to what is written here. It is short on purpose, and we have tried to write it so that you can actually read it.

What the app does

AlarmSong is an alarm clock. Every morning it wakes you with a song written for that day. The songs are written and performed by artificial intelligence, from what your day looks like: the events on your calendar, the style of music you picked, the name you gave us. No human writes or sings them.

That means a song can be odd, wrong about your day, or simply bad. It is a machine making something new every morning, not a person checking the result. If a song ever says something it should not have, tell us and we will look at it.

What it costs

You can use AlarmSong without paying. Paid plans, when you choose one, are:

• $4.49 per month, renewing monthly.
• $29.99 per year, renewing yearly.
• $199 once, for as long as the app lives. See the next section, because that phrase matters.

You pay through the App Store or Google Play, not to us directly. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, and the next period is charged within 24 hours of the current one ending. Cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, in your store account settings, not in our app. Refunds are handled by the store under its own rules.

The one-time plan gives you one song each morning, the same as any other plan. It is not an unlimited supply of songs.

What “for as long as the app lives” means

We will not pretend otherwise: it is the lifetime of the app, not your lifetime. AlarmSong depends on services we do not own to write words and make music. If those services change their terms or disappear, or if we stop being able to run this, the songs stop.

If that day comes, we will tell you at least 30 days in advance inside the app and by email, and anyone who bought the one-time plan within the previous 12 months can ask us for a refund at hello@alarmsong.com. We would rather write this down now than explain it later.

Who owns the songs

The song made for your morning is yours to keep, play, download and share with the people in your life. We are not going to charge you twice for a morning you already paid for.

Two limits. You may not sell the songs, put them on streaming services, or use them in something you are paid for, because the rights we can pass on do not stretch that far. And nobody, including us, can promise a machine-made song is unique: another person may receive something similar tomorrow.

What you give us stays yours. Your calendar events, the name you use, the styles you pick: yours. We use them to make your song and nothing else.

Using it fairly

Do not use AlarmSong to make songs that harass a person, break the law, or are meant to pass as someone else’s work. Do not try to break, overload or resell the service. We can close an account that does these things, and we will say why.

The app is for people old enough to agree to these terms where they live.

When things go wrong

An alarm that depends on a phone, a network and a machine-written song can fail. We work to make it reliable, and it wakes us up too. Do not rely on it alone for something you cannot afford to miss: a flight, an exam, medication. Keep a second alarm for those mornings.

Beyond that, the app is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem. Some places do not allow those limits, and where that is the case, they do not apply to you.

Changes, and ending it

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect. You can stop using AlarmSong at any time by deleting your account, which is described on the deletion page. Deleting the account does not cancel a subscription: do that in your store account first.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, where the developer is based, without regard to conflict of law rules. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, this does not take away the protections your own law gives you, and you may bring a claim where you live.
