Delete your account and data

Two ways to do it. Both erase the same things, and both are final.

In the app, about ten seconds

Open AlarmSong and go to Settings.
At the top, under Account, tap Delete account.
The app asks Delete your account? — tap Delete.

That is the whole thing. Nothing else to confirm, no waiting period.

By email, if the app is already gone

Write to hello@alarmsong.com from the email address you signed in with, and ask us to delete your account. If you signed in with Apple or Google, use the address that sign-in gave us.

We do it within 30 days, usually the same week, and write back when it is done. We may ask you to confirm from that address. That is the only check we do, and we will never ask you for a password.

What gets erased

Your account: the sign-in you used (Apple, Google or email), your email address and the name that came with it.
Every song we still hold for you, including the ones you hearted, and the audio files themselves.
The lyrics of those songs. They were written from your day, so they go with them.
The style and language you picked, and the sessions that keep you signed in on your devices.

Your calendar is not part of this list for one reason: we never store it. Event titles for the day travel to our server, become a song, and are gone. What stays behind is the song, and deleting your account deletes that too.

What stays, and why

Receipts for anything you bought. Those live with Apple or Google, not with us. We cannot delete them, and tax law requires them to exist.
Server logs that record that a request happened, without your name or the contents of your day. They roll off on their own within 30 days.

Deleting is not pausing. There is no way to undo it, no archive to restore from, and no way for us to bring a song back once it is gone. If you only want a break, sign out instead: the alarm stops asking for new songs, and your account waits.

If you ever bought anything

AlarmSong is free today and has nothing to buy inside it. If that changes and you do buy something, deleting your account will not cancel it, because we are not the ones charging you. Cancel it where you bought it: manage subscriptions on Apple or on Google Play. Cancel first, then delete, or you will keep paying for an account that no longer exists.
